DJ Jaguar Brings the Beat to Kandima Maldives with Family-Friendly Summer Kamp Takeover 🎶

Fresh from Kandima Maldives, BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar showed how music can unite generations. Her two-day takeover turned the island into a celebration of rhythm, learning, and connection, welcoming participation from guests of all ages, including teenagers and young children who were impressed to see a full mixer set up upclose!
This activation not only showcased Jaguar’s passion for mentoring and connecting through music but also underscored Kandima’s reputation for bold, lifestyle-led programming - always with travellers of all ages in mind.
DJ Workshops: Behind the Decks

Jaguar hosted two immersive workshops where children and adults stepped behind the decks to try their hand at DJing. Guests learned beatmatching, looping, and EQ balancing, experimenting with jog wheels, faders, and mixers to understand how DJs build seamless transitions and layer tracks. It was a hands-on masterclass that revealed the craft behind the soundtrack of today’s dancefloors - delivered in a way that was engaging and accessible for complete beginners.
Sunset Set at Breeze Bar

The highlight came with a sunset beachside set at Kandima’s iconic Breeze Bar. Parents brought kids along to dance in the sand as Jaguar dropped beats against a glowing Maldivian horizon. The vibe was playful, inclusive, and electric, transforming a classic DJ set into a family-friendly celebration where every generation joined the dancefloor.
With less than a month to go, Kandima Maldives’ Summer Kamp 2025 (7 July – 7 September) is already showing how the resort is reinventing the Maldivian holiday for families and experience seekers alike. Designed as a two-month festival of learning, creativity, and entertainment, Summer Kamp brings world-class talent to the island — offering guests the chance to connect with pros across music, motorsport, art, and more.
